Milking the Cow

What are my options?

Hello to all my fellow breastfeeding mama friends! I am looking for some advice from those who have nursed before me. How do you cover up?

I'm not talking about using a blanket to cover up while nursing in public (I'm finally getting the hang of that, although it can still be tense). I'm talking about putting the lid on the milk jugs when they are not in use.

I have three of those really handy nursing tanks with the snapping cups. They are great for at-home use but I have trouble wearing them in public because they are just too low-cut. In fact, the only time I can wear them outside the home is when I layer them under a button-down blouse. And I have a limited supply of blouses. I have lots of wonderfully comfy v-neck and scoop neck t-shirts that I used to layer over regular tank tops for modesty. Frankly, I am out of ideas for how to adapt these for easy nursing.

I'm open to anything: suggestions, website links, sewing tutorials. I would like to solve this problem before Peanut gets too much older. I'm tired of stressing out about whether or not I have enough (relatively) clean, modest shirts to get me through the 6-8 feedings that each day brings.

Thank you! Love, Farmer Girl
